Welcome Home
"Welcome Home" begins with a young man visiting his grandparents a few weeks before Christmas. He tells them he will not be around to celebrate the holidays, as his reserve unit has just been called up to go to Iraq. As he struggles with several issues related to pain and suffering in the world, Grandpa tells the story of how he was wounded in World War II. The rest of the story is a flashback to the year 1942, complete with a USO radio show. Edwin Berry (young Grandpa) is stationed overseas and has been chosen to celebrate Christmas with his wife and children for a special homecoming. He is later called upon by his commander (who is also his father) to go on a dangerous rescue mission, making his Christmas homecoming impossible. The parallel of God sending His only Son to earth to save human lives is dramatically illustrated.

Welcome Home was presented on December 15th and 16th in 2007.
